A laminar flow hood should be turned on for a sufficient amount of time to allow the air inside the hood to reach its required level of cleanliness. The duration of this process depends on a variety of factors such as the type of work being conducted, the cleanliness standards required, the size of the hood, and the condition of the filters.
Generally, it is recommended to turn on the laminar flow hood at least 30 minutes prior to beginning work. This allows enough time for the air to circulate and the filters to remove any contaminants that may be present in the environment.
During use, the laminar flow hood should remain on continuously to maintain the desired level of cleanliness.
Once the work is complete, it is recommended to leave the laminar flow hood on for an additional 10-15 minutes to allow for complete removal of any remaining contaminants before turning it off.
We hope this helps you maintain a contamination free work area with your FloCube!
